With all the changes on social media, it really does pay to have a website so you can collect leads and turn them into paying clients.

Now if you are just starting out then you can certainly still grow a fitness business without a website but eventually, if you want to step into the next level a website is crucial.

Here’s why:

– You don’t own the likes or followers on social media
– Rules change ALL the time on social media
– Reach has dropped in the last few months

Having a website allows you to capture your ideal client’s details PLUS market to them ALL when you want to without having to worry about whether people are seeing your content.

Because they do – well if they open the email.

But you understand what I am saying.

Here is why you DO need a high performing website –

– You can put your email marketing on autopilot
– You can capture leads for free
– You start ranking in Google again for free if you do the right things and leads flow for free!
– You can make money in your sleep
– You have full control over your database
– You can showcase your products, services, blogs and establish yourself as the expert.

And no setting up a website shouldn’t cost you thousands…when I first started out it was about $500 but even now I haven’t paid more than $2k for a site.

Now there is also a huge difference between a designer that makes it look pretty vs understanding marketing so when you are obtaining quotes be sure to ask them those questions.

I recommend outsourcing because how long would it take you to design and upload a website? Soooo many hours….even weeks.

So instead of trying to figure out all the tech stuff that you have no idea about, invest the $ into a website designer/developer so you can focus on growing your business.

Stay in your zone of genius and let the website people take care of it for you.

So where do you start?

1. Put together a portfolio of websites that you like
2. Understand what colours you align with your branding
3. Collect some pics of you and your clients to display on your website
4. Ask around for referrals or check out outsourcing companies like Upwork

It’s just another way to market and generate whether you are online or offline and the more ways you have implemented for people to find you the greater your success will be.
